I will be the first one to admit, I am that odd ball that will pull the raisins and almonds out of a bowl of Trail Mix before I go for the M&M’s.
This recipe is one that has just been a MUST in my families households since I was a teenager. I know it does not follow my “Clean Eating” to a T, but hey! It is 10 x’s better and better for you than a over processed candy bar.
The combination of Salty & Sweet kicks hits the spot with either craving. My toddler and peanut hating husband LOVE it!
The only problem, …we can’t seem to keep it around long enough. I swear I have to make a new batch ever week at the minimum, but with just 3 ingredients, it couldn’t be easier. This is one recipe that I love to have my 4 year old make.
Easy measuring and memory making moments.
Too Tempting Trail Mix!
-One 16oz. (1lb) jar of Planters Salted Roasted Peanuts
(You can use unsalted if you prefer.)
-One 12oz. bag of Craisins
(If you love Cranberries like we do, opt for the 24oz bag.)
-One 16oz. bag Nestle Dark Chocolate Chunks or Semi-Sweet Morsles
It’s usually easiest to get an oversized tupperware bowl, toss everything in, snap on lid, and shake-SHAKE-shake.
I like to divide the batch up by refilling the peanut jar and keeping it on the counter, and storing the rest in a tupperware container in the fridge.
So yummy!
